Downtown Parking and Transportation Plan

This plan will expand upon the Official Community Plan (OCP) by developing specific transportation and parking policies that are intended to:

  • accommodate future growth
  • facilitate redevelopment of the downtown core and
  • create a vibrant, healthy, safe, and pedestrian-friendly downtown

  • Summary of Recommendations
  • Review of previous plans and data collection
  • Stakeholder Interviews (includes downtown businesses, government agencies, industry groups and community groups)
  • Open House held Tuesday May 9, 2006)
  • Network and Parking Analysis
  • Steering Committee Review #1
  • Priorities and Policies Development
  • Steering Committee Review #2
  • Update and Revisions
  • Draft Report
  • Presentation to City Council
  • Final Report
