This plan will expand upon the Official Community Plan (OCP) by developing specific transportation and parking policies that are intended to:
- accommodate future growth
- facilitate redevelopment of the downtown core and
- create a vibrant, healthy, safe, and pedestrian-friendly downtown
This development of the plan included the following process:

- Stakeholder Interviews (includes downtown businesses, government agencies, industry groups and community groups)
- Open House held Tuesday May 9, 2006)
- Network and Parking Analysis

- Steering Committee Review #2
- Update and Revisions
- Draft Report
- Presentation to City Council
- Final Report
