"Building Community for All"

2017 myPG Community Grants

NEW!

Starting in 2017, the City will be accepting grant applications twice per calendar year.  Organizations can submit applications for both intakes, however Council's interest in financially supporting diverse organizations and initiatives will be considered in the adjudication process.  Please note that the grant criteria has been expanded to include innovative, local events that focus on improving/enhancing quality of life for Prince George residents.  The review of grant applications normally takes 6  - 8 weeks and allocations are generally $8,000 or less.  The online application deadlines for 2017 and 2018 are as follows:

January 31, 2017 4:30 pm (confirmed)

•October 15, 2017 4:30 pm (tentative)

•March 15, 2018 4:30 pm (tentative)

•October 15, 2018 4:30 pm (tentative)

Criteria:

Organizations and people that work in a community know its strengths and potential.  They also have ideas on how to make it a better place for everyone. The City of Prince George myPG Community Grants are designed to help local organizations develop and implement innovative activities, projects and/or local events that contribute to making Prince George a great community. Eligible activities can be large or small and should contribute to ensuring Prince George residents of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and income levels are:

  • Proud of their community;
  • Safe;
  • Socially Connected;
  • Physically Active;
  • Involved in Arts and Culture;
  • Able to Access Community Services and Opportunities.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must ensure the amount of funding requested is matched by an equal or more amount of cash or in-kind contributions.

Businesses are not eligible for funding and grants cannot be used for research, payment of City property taxes, capital projects, conferences or travel.

Projects/events must be within the City of Prince George boundaries and if projects are on City lands or parks, a letter of support from the relevant department is required.

Funding Available:
