Community Enhancement Grants

This grant program enables the EnhancePG Committee to offer community members an opportunity to improve neighborhoods, foster civic pride and grow a proud, confident, safe and healthy community. These grants range from $200 to $1000.

We welcome applications that focus on one or more of the following categories:

  • Neighbourhood & Community Events and Celebrations
  • Indoor and Outdoor Recreation
  • Lights and Decorations
  • Goodwill Programs
  • Beautification and Landscape Projects

Community Celebrations Program - NEW

​The Community Celebrations Program financially supports and assists in the growth and development of new and existing events that fall within July and February to create summer and winter celebrations and a city brimming with excitement. The program will support events that create a festive atmosphere,increase visitation and make a significant positive impact in the community.

The overall objective of the program is to:

  • Maximize public events in civic spaces
  • Showcase public facilities
  • Increase community pride by supporting local events and organizations providing entertainment and activities for locals and visitors
  • Create a regional tourism draw with the long term potential of creating known and  marketable events for the north

myPG Community Grants

Organizations and people that work in a community know its strengths and potential. They also have ideas on how to make it a better place for everyone. The City of Prince George myPG Community Grants are designed to help local organizations develop and implement innovative activities that contribute to making Prince George a great community.

Eligible activities can be large or small and should contribute to ensuring Prince George residents of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and income levels are:

  • Proud of their community
  • Safe
  • Socially Connected
  • Physically Active
  • Involved in Arts and Culture and/or
  • Able to Access Community Services and Opportunities
