EnhancePG, with the support of Mayor and Council, is providing the residents of our city an opportunity to recognize individuals and groups whose actions have made a positive difference in the community. From small gestures to large actions, modelling community spirit, improving the safety of a neighbourhood, and or enhancing its beauty are examples of actions worthy of recognition. Good Neighbour Certificates of Appreciation will be signed by the Mayor of Prince George and the Chair of EnhancePG.
The process is simple. Fill out a short form indicating why you think someone in your neighbourhood is worthy of a Certificate of Appreciation. Return the form to City Hall’s Service Centre. A personalized certificate will be provided for you to give to your neighbour. The form can be found further down this page.
It's often the small gestures and actions that add to our lives and improve our communities. Neighbours who know and help each other create safe connected neighbourhoods. The Good Neighbour Certificate of Appreciation recognizes those neighbours who, through their actions, make a positive difference in the lives of the people in their neighbourhood.
Good neighbour actions may be as simple as helping a neighbour in need or growing a garden that enhances the street. Combined efforts of neighbours to celebrate their neighbourhood by organizing a block party or enhancing a gathering place (like a park or a playground) for the use of all in the neighbourhood are actions showing pride and care for your neighbourhood. Usually these projects are spearheaded by a Good Neighbour. These caring neighbours give their time and energy to others without expectation for recognition.
The Good Neighbour Certificate of Appreciation is a special way of saying “thank you” for making your neighbourhood better. If you know of a Good Neighbour who should be recognized please take the time to fill out the Good Neighbour Appreciation Certificate Form.
