Shane Lake has been chosen as a suitable urban lake to develop a recreational fishery for local residents and tourists for a trial. This lake has become one of the Provinces "Family Fishing Waters", providing easy access to sport fishing opportunities within the city. The Shane Lake project is part of a larger initiative to boost sport fishing participation in the region.
