  Hart Skate Park

​A new skate park and other improvements are being proposed for Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park to create a multi-use destination for residents in the Hart. 

The Hart Community Association, Rotary and City of Prince George have created a partnership to pursue the project and are working with New Line Skateparks Inc. to develop concept plans for the skate park and overall park area.  New Line both designed and constructed the skate park at Carrie Jane Gray Park in 2001 and have since developed hundreds of other skate parks throughout North America. 

Your input is important!  Attend the Open House scheduled for October 29th (see below)

Concept Design Open House - October 29th

Come to the Open House to review the preliminary park master plan concepts and skatepark design ideas.  Your comments will help inform the final plans for this exciting new project.

Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park & Hart Skate Park Initiative – Open House

When:   Thursday, October 29th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Where:  Hart Pioneer Centre, 6986 Hart Highway

 

This park concept plan and skate park options will be presented at this Open House.

1st Design Workshop - Sept. 10th

Viewing the Park Improvements Board 

Over 40 people attended the Workshop held on Thursday, September 10th at the Hart Pioneer Centre.  The evening began with a presentation on contemporary park design and how modern skate parks are successfully integrated into community parks.  Workshop attendees then got to work and contributed their ideas and feedback through a dotmocracy exercise, sketches, discussions and other methods.

The feedback from the Workshop and Online Survey will be used to develop concept plans for review and comment at a follow-up workshop.
