 KidSport™ Welcome

Not all kids have the opportunity to be involved in sports.  For those who dream of hitting a homerun, playing goal, shooting hoops, and making new friends, it's all possible through KidSport™ .  For a happier healthier lifestyle for kids in British Columbia, KidSport™ makes a difference.

Fast Facts:

• KidSport™ was established by Sport BC in 1993
• KidSport™ provides grants for financially disadvantaged children under 18 years old, to participate in an organized amateur sport
• There are over 175 chapters across Canada
• There are approximately 300 volunteers operating over 35 community chapters in BC

Prince George KidSport™ 

We believe that no kids should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports.  KidSport™ provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport.

A LOCAL KidSport™ committee made up of volunteers from different Prince George sport organizations is responsible for our community chapter.  This dedicated group promotes the program, solicits sponsorship, and allocates funds.

This committee operates under the provincial chapter's umbrella and is licensed as a “franchise” of the provincial fund.

Prince George KidSport™ requests that sport organizations become members to support the rquest for funding.  Only member sport organizations are eligible for funding grants.
