During each Professional Development Day, the City of Prince George coordinates a listing of all the fun activities for children to enjoy during their day off school. This is an opportunity for kids, parents and educators to discover all of the great events and programs that are available on Pro D Days.
Children can stay active, meet new people and learn some cool things by participating in all sorts of programs, special events and activities put on by our favourite local organizations and businesses - especially for kids on Pro D Days!
Pro D Days 2014/2015 are October 24th, November 28th, January 23rd, March 20th and April 24th and Spring Break (February 16 - 27).

There are also advertising opportunities in our Active Living Guide which gets printed twice a year and distributed to over 25,000 households in Prince George and is filled with invaluable information on all our community has to offer. Youth of the Year Awards
The City of Prince George annually recognizes youth volunteers who have made outstanding contributions to their community.
The recipient of this award is presented with a certificate, a personal plaque and will have their name engraved on a plaque, which remains on display at City Hall. The award will be presented at the Civic Appreciation Dinner at the Civic Centre in April. The recipient will also be honoured at a City Council meeting in May or June.
