Long Term Notice

The City of Prince George has imposed a vehicle weight restriction on Foothills Blvd from North Nechako to Chief Lake Road.

Vehicles over 46,500 kgs licensed GVW are now prohibited from using this section of road until further notice.”

Notice #1

 

Pursuant to Section 7 of the City of Prince George “Highway Bylaw No. 8065”  (2010) and regulations pursuant to the Commercial Transport Act, notice is hereby given that the following restrictions are imposed on city roads, effective 12:01 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014:

 

 

1.                50% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:

·        Hartman Road

·        Jutland Road

·        Veekens Road

·        Leslie Road, from Blackwater Road to Haldi Road, Reynolds, W & E Sykes, Buckingham, W & E Purdue, Birchill, Gudrun, Walter, Haldi (gravel portion), Bunce.

·        Foreman Road

·        Swanson Road, and all roads west of the Beger/Swanson Intersection

·        Cranbrook Hill Road, from Melmack Crescent to Otway Road

·        Goose Country Road

·        Hoferkamp Road

·        Kueng Road

 

2.                70% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:

·        All unpaved roads within the City of Prince George except as mentioned at 50%

·        All roads west of Westgate Avenue, on the north and south sides of Highway 16 West and all connecting roads, except as mentioned at 50% and 100%

·        All roads east of Queensway between and including Regents Crescent and LaSalle Avenue (permanent restriction)

·        All roads east of Old Cariboo Highway and south of Hwy 16  East except as mentioned at 50%  and 100%

·        Cranbrook Hill Road, from Foothills Boulevard to Melmack Crescent, including all roads connecting to Cranbrook Hill Road, except as mentioned at 50%

·        Aberdeen Road, and all roads connecting to Aberdeen Road

·        Old Summit Lake Road and all roads connecting except as mentioned at 50%

·        Chief Lake Road and all roads connecting to Chief Lake Road, except as mentioned at 50% and 100%

·        Foothills Boulevard between Chief Lake Road and  West Austin Road

·        North Nechako Road, west of Foothills Boulevard

·        All roads north of E. Austin Road including connectors and east of Highway 97 North except as mentioned at 50% and 100%

·        North Kelly Road and all roads connecting to North Kelly Road except as mentioned at 50% and 100%

·        Landooz Road and all roads connecting Landooz Road

 

3.                100% of LEGAL AXLE LOADING only will be allowed on the following:

·        Blackwater Road

·        Foothills Boulevard (south of Austin Road West)

·        Woodvalley Drive

·        Woodoak Crescent

·        Meadow Rim Way, Twinberry Drive and Burgess Road

·        Marleau Road from Hwy 16 to Southridge

·        All other paved roads within the City of Prince George, except as mentioned at 50% and 70%

 

Violators of the regulations and restrictions will be prosecuted.

The applicable tolerance provided under Section 7.06(1) of the regulations pursuant to the Commercial Transport Act shall apply.
