Welcome to the new City website. Improved navigation. Simplified information. Attractive new design with local photographs. New tools to subscribe to the latest news, notices, alerts, Council meetings, concerts, or events. Enhanced online tools, including eForms, reporting a problem, and more. And it’s mobile-friendly and more accessible for people with visual impairments.
The new City website was created in response to feedback from residents. They indicated the previous City website was cluttered and had lots of outdated and duplicated information, confusing navigation, and did not work well across platforms and mobile devices.
The City website is an important element of Council’s focus on reconnecting with citizens, enhancing customer service, celebrating success, promoting active and healthy living, improving communication to ensure transparency, and actively communicating with employees, citizens, local organizations, and constituencies outside of Prince George.
New City website features:
rebuilt from scratch: a new and simplified website
The City’s website is meant to provide residents with timely, relevant, and accurate info about their
local government. The new princegeorge.ca was built from scratch, including its structure, site map,
page layout, content, and imagery. The overall look, content, and navigation have been simplified and pages have been reduced for quicker and easier access to the info residents need.

mobile and device friendly

When the website is viewed on a mobile device, elements on the page will stack within one column due to the narrower screen. You will also use the ‘hamburger-style menu’ when navigating the website on a mobile device. See how-to instructions below.
