Community Foundation Park was created in 1967 to mark and celebrate Canada's Centennial. The mural in this park illustrates the region's history, including the arrival of Simon Fraser in the early 1800s, the Catholic missions in 1840, the gold miners in 1860, the arrival of the BX Sternwheeler in 1910, and the Grand Trunk Railway in 1914.
The Terry Fox statue, designed by Nathan Scott, stands proud at the park and honours this brave Canadian.
Community Foundation park is located at the corner of Dominion St. and 7th Ave, beside the Four Seasons Leisure Pool.
