The CN Centre is a multi-purpose arena owned by the City of Prince George and has been the City's gathering place for premier events for over 20 years. The Prince George Cougars calls the CN Centre home and the Centre prides itself on providing top quality ice surfaces for hockey, curling, speed skating, and other sports. It also links with the three nearby Kin Centre arenas to create a multi-functional, four-arena complex.

Dimensions & Features

  • 26m x 61m ice surface that can be converted to Olympic dimensions measuring 31m x 61m and complemented by five (5) dressing rooms, office space, and official's rooms.
  • Parking for 2,000 with well-lit stalls.
  • Designated areas for tour and transport busses make the Centre accessible from all angles.
  • Hockey seating for 5,967 (including standing room).
  • Show seating for 7,000 (in the around).
  • Fourteen (14) luxury private suites.
  • Food service facilities include four (4) concessions, eight (8) food kiosks, and several beverage outlets in addition to a main kitchen that serves the Centre's private suites, hospitality rooms, and in-house banquets.
  • Full audio, visual, electrical, and internet services available on-site.

ELKSENTRE ARENA

Elksentre Arena Ice Skating Rink is an indoor facility that is open seasonally from July 15 to May 31. The Arena is located in the Hart Highlands area and offers plenty of parking. It hosts numerous hockey clubs in addition to providing a venue for figure skating, lacrosse, and roller hockey.

This 38-hectare site is located at the base of Cranbrook Hill and - in addition to the Kin Centre - includes a rodeo ground and race track, a speed skating oval in winter months, an outdoor riding arena and an indoor riding arena (the Agriplex) with stabling facilities, loggers sports area, and the Sports Centre, which is home to the BC Northern Exhibition and the Prince George Gymnastics Club. Exhibition Park hosts numerous events including midways, tradeshows, and the BC Northern Exhibition.

KIN CENTRE ARENAS

The Kin Centre is a 4,645 square-metre complex of three arenas that can accommodate hockey clubs, figure skating, lacrosse, in-line hockey, ball hockey, tournaments, and trade shows. Located adjacent to the CN Centre in the heart of Exhibition Park, it hosts the Prince George Home Builders Association's annual, "Spring Home Show" in April as well as the British Columbia Northern Exhibition (BCNE) every August. The Kin Centre is one of two (the other being the CN Centre) arenas in BC with two Olympic-to-NHL-size convertible rinks, and served as a 2015 Canada Winter Games venue.

ROLLING MIX CONCRETE ARENA

Formerly called the Prince George Coliseum, the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena hosts the Prince George Spruce Kings, PG's Junior "A" hockey club. The Arena is located across the street from the Civic Centre and - in addition to ice hockey - can accommodate other sports like lacrosse, roller hockey, ringette, and speed skating.

Arena Events and Booking

There is always something going on in City arenas. The City Events calendar highlights on-ice and dry-floor special programs and events year-round from trade shows to hockey and lacrosse games.

Prince George's arenas may be booked to accommodate events big and small. Most arenas also include support facilities like change rooms and audio-visual equipment and feature ample.

Arena Advertising

Advertising opportunities are available at the Kin Centre and Elksentre Arenas. The Elksentre, Kin 2, and Kin 3 can accommodate wallboard advertising and Kin 2 is able to host rink board advertising.
