Historical property records
The City maintains permit related records for most commercial buildings, multiple family dwellings and single family residences, including survey certificates, which may be requested, for an applicable fee that can be found in Schedule "C-3" Administrative Services of the City of Prince George Comprehensive Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 7557, 2004, as amended.
Anyone can submit a request for copies of historical property records, however, third party personal information (i.e., home address (if different from the subject property), signatures, home telephone number, and personal cell phone number) will be withheld. Business information and information that allows you to be contacted at your place of business (business contact information) will not be redacted from the records.
Interior drawings/ building plans for commercial or residential properties will not be released to a third party without the written consent of the registered owner or the authorized signatory of the registered owner of the subject property. An Authorization to Release Internal Drawings / Building Plans to a Third Party must be completed and emailed to Records Management.
It may take a minimum of 7 business days to process a typical request for property records and a minimum of 10 business days to process a request for plans/drawings.
Depending on the volume of records created during the permitting process for apartment buildings, commercial properties and strata complexes, additional time may be required to process the request and additional fees may be charged.
