FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, BC – At 2:41 pm on April 2, 2024, Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported outbuilding fire at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Foothills Boulevard.
Three halls were initially dispatched to the reported location. The fire was located off University Way in a small encampment between the road and the university.
The fire burned one of the encampment structures and a patch of field approximately 150 square meters. The crews were able to contain the fire from spreading using shovels and rakes. The crews were on scene for three hours ensuring the fire was completely out. There were no injuries reported from this fire.
