This flood and wildfire season, rely on and share information from official government websites and social media pages. Visit the BC Government website for up to date emergency information. Official social media pages include:

Be very careful connecting with services through Facebook or Facebook Messenger that ask for donations or claim to support evacuees. These pages can be scams. The City has not hired individuals or private companies to provide support services.

The City of Prince George emergency programs team works closely with BC Wildfire, Emergency Management BC, municipalities, and regional districts across the province to accept evacuees when needed and connect them with appropriate resources. The City provides hotel accommodation and meal vouchers as well as other necessities. Information during emergencies should be shared directly from an official source.

The City is not accepting donations, supplies, or volunteers at this time. Citizens interested in volunteering if the need arises can call the Service Centre at 311 or 250-561-7600 to leave a name and contact information.

More information can be found on the City's emergency response page
