Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - August 30, 2024

Tyner Boulevard between University Heights and Campus Ring Road

• Will experience minor traffic disruption, Friday, August 30^th from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm for Rogers to install fibre along the pole line.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.  

Dominion Street Sidewalk between 7^th Avenue & Kopar Arena Pedestrian Crosswalk

• Will be closed, Monday, August 12^th to Friday, August 30^th for the construction of access/egress parking lot driveway.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Tyner Boulevard between Ospika Boulevard and University Heights

• Will be single lane alternating, Monday, August 12^th to Friday, August 30^th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily for Telus Utility work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Strathcona Avenue from the cul-de-sac end to Redwood Street

• Will experience minor traffic disruption from Thursday, August 8^th to Friday, August 30^th from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm daily for the Sidewalk rehabilitation project.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

3^rd Avenue between George Street and Queensway Blvd

• Will be closed, every Saturday, starting May 4^th until the fall from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm for the Wilson Square Community Farmers’ Market.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Quebec Street between 2^nd and 3^rd Avenue & 3rd Avenue between Quebec Street and Dominion Street

• Will be closed, every Saturday, starting May 18^th until the fall from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm for the Prince George Farmers’ Market.
• Detours required.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

George Street between 5^th Avenue & 6^th Avenue, 6^th Avenue between George Street & Alleyway

• Sidewalk will be closed, Tuesday, August 27^th to Saturday, August 31^st from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for a boom lift on the sidewalk to paint building.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Brunswick Street between 9^th Avenue and 4^th Avenue, 4^th Avenue between Brunswick Street and Quebec Street, Quebec Street between 4^th Avenue and Canada Games Plaza

• Will be closed, Sunday, September 2^nd from 10:00am to 11:30 am for the Labour Day Parade.
• Detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Austin Rd West between 4101 and 3939 Austin Rd W

• Will have sidewalk and bike lane disruptions, Monday, August 19^th to Monday, September 2^nd from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for sidewalk rehab work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Otway Road between Heritage Crescent and Tabor Boulevard

• Will be closed, Tuesday, September 3^rd from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for a water service repair.
• Detours required.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Cranbrook Hill Road between Melmack Crescent and Otway Crescent

• Will be single lane alternating, Tuesday, September 3^rd to Friday, September 6^th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for road work.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Intersection of 4^th Avenue & Queensway

• The right-hand, southbound lane will be closed, Tuesday, September 3^rd from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm for window cleaning at Service BC
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

3^rd Ave between Queensway and Ontario St

• Will be closed, 24hrs, Wednesday, July 31st to Friday, September 6^th for a watermain project.
• Detours required.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

1636 Central Street East between 15^th Avenue and 18th Avenue

• Will be single lane alternating, Monday, August 26^th at 6:00 am to Friday, September 13^th at 6:00 pm for hydro duct installation and sidewalk replacement
• Sidewalk will be closed.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Ospika Boulevard between McDermid Drive and Ayr Place

• Will be closed, all day, Friday, August 30^th to Tuesday, September 17^th for the installation of a new water main.
• Detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Hammond Avenue Alleyway between Kelly Street and Hammond Avenue

• Will be intermittently closed, Monday August 26^th to Thursday, October 31^st for the installation of a new sanitary forcemain.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

1215 Lethbridge Street from the south end of Lethbridge to the north end of Lethbridge Street

• Pedestrian traffic and parking will be closed for the construction of the new parkade, from Friday, June 14^th to May 2025. Pedestrian re-routing will take place. Traffic will not be affected.

Quebec Street between 6^th Avenue and 7^th Avenue

• 6^th Avenue sidewalk between Quebec Street and Dominion Street remains incomplete and closed.
