Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - February 8, 2024

Trent Drive (6000 block) between Simon Fraser Avenue and Rideau Drive

• Will be closed, Thursday, February 8^th from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm for a water service repair.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Woodvalley Drive (5300 Block) between Woodoak Crescent and Tatlow Place

• Will be closed, Friday, February 9^th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for repairs to water service.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Special Event – PG Iceman – Sunday, February 11^th

• There will be two stoppages on Otway Road where traffic will be held briefly while runners cross the road. One near the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and one near Foothills Blvd.
• Southbound Foothills Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane between Otway Road and 18^th Avenue.
• Two signalised intersections (Foothills Blvd – University Way/15th Avenue intersection and the Ospika Blvd – 22nd Avenue intersection) will be placed in Red-Flash during the event, which means they become a 4-way stop.
• Starting at the Ice Oval, a 5km run will occur along most roads in the Pinewood Subdivision and proceed to Ospika Blvd via Massey Dr.
• The bike lane along the north side of Massey Dr from Foot St to Ospika Blvd, and along the west side of Ospika Blvd from Massey Dr to the Exhibition Park access will be closed. The sidewalk will still be useable by pedestrians.
• There will be one stoppage on 18^th Avenue where traffic will be held briefly while runners cross the road from Exhibition Park to the Aquatic Centre.

Westwood Drive between Merrit Street and Range Road

• May experience minor traffic disruptions, 10:00 pm, Monday, February 12^th to 6:00 am,  Tuesday, February 13^th for placing and splicing fibre for Rogers Communications.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Brunswick Street between 2^nd Avenue and 1^st Avenue

• Will be alternating single lane traffic, Tuesday, February 13^th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for Environmental testing/drilling.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

4^th Avenue between Dominion Street and George Street

• The south sidewalk from Dominion Street to George Street is closed for work on the UNBC Wood Innovation building.

Quebec Street between 6^th Avenue and 7^th Avenue

• The east sidewalk will be open for pedestrian use this winter; 6^th Avenue sidewalk between Quebec Street and Dominion Street remains incomplete and closed for the winter.
