Notice of traffic and pedestrian network disruptions - September 15, 2023

REVISED – Intersection of 18^th Avenue and Foothills Boulevard

• Will be closed until September 22^nd for the construction of the roundabout.
• Detour required. No access to Foothills Boulevard from 18^th Avenue. Pedestrian detours will be in place.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Austin Road between Crown Drive and Kelly Road S/Highland Drive

• Will be closed, Friday, September 15^th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for road repairs.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Ahbau Street (900 Block) between Rainbow Drive and 8^th Avenue.

• Will be closed, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for a hydrant replacement.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Brunswick Street between 9^th Avenue and 3rd Avenue

• Expect delays along the east sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Expect stoppages for all cross street traffic at each intersection for an extended pedestrian crossing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

3rd Avenue between Brunswick Street and George Street.

• Expect delays along the south sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Expect stoppages for all cross street traffic at each intersection for an extended pedestrian crossing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

George Street between 3^rd Avenue and 6^th Avenue.

• Expect delays along the west sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Expect stoppages for all cross street traffic at each intersection for an extended pedestrian crossing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

7^th Avenue between George Street and Quebec Street.

• Expect delays along the north sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Expect stoppages for all cross street traffic at each intersection for an extended pedestrian crossing.

Canada Games Way between 7^th Avenue and 9th Avenue.

• Expect delays along the west sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

9^th Avenue between Canada Games Way and Brunswick Street

• Expect delays along the north sidewalk for a special event, Friday, September 15^th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Ingledew Street between 20^th Avenue and Patricia Blvd

• Expect delays for a special event, Sunday, September 17^th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Parking lanes on the east side of Ingledew will be closed.
• Expect stoppages for all cross street traffic at each intersection for an extended pedestrian crossing.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

University Way between Foothills Boulevard and University Way Entrance

• Will be closed in both directions, Tuesday, August 22^nd to mid-October for bridge construction. Detour: Ospika Boulevard to Tyner Boulevard to University Way entrance.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Foothills Boulevard and Austin Road West

• May experience minor traffic disruptions, Tuesday, September 26^th and Wednesday, September 27^th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm for semi annual leachate force main maintenance.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

3^rd Avenue between Vancouver Street and Brunswick Street

• Will be closed – 24 hrs., starting, Tuesday, August 8^th to Friday September 29^th for watermain project.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

6399 Boundary Rd

• Will be closed, 24/7, Monday, August 21^st to Saturday September 30^th for install of deep utilities across boundary Rd.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

3^rd Avenue between George Street and Queensway

• Will be closed every Saturday starting May 6^th to October 14^th for the Wilson Square Community Market.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.

Quebec St between 2^nd and 3^rd Ave

• Will be closed, every Saturday in summer, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm for the Prince George Farmers Market.
• Emergency vehicles will NOT have access.

Simon Fraser Bridge

• Southbound Simon Fraser Bridge will remain closed until October 30^th, 2023. Northbound Simon Fraser Bridge will be reduced to single lane in each direction.
• Emergency vehicles WILL have access.
