Prince George, BC - On January 13, 2023, the City will respond to a water main break at 7051 Southridge Avenue. Nearly 300 properties will be without water for an estimated 10 hours starting at 7 a.m. Southridge Elementary School will not be affected.
The area of affected properties includes nearly the entirety of the Southridge neighbourhood. Affected streets are:

The area surrounding the main, built in 1992, will be excavated to allow crews to access the break. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route, although local single-alternating traffic will be permitted.
Residents can prepare for the outage by filling pots and jugs with water for cooking and drinking and filling bathtubs with water for flushing the toilet with a bucket. A toilet will flush when approximately four litres of water is poured into the bowl. The City would like to thank area residents for their patience and understanding while crews work to repair the water main.
