Taxes & Utility Bills

Property taxes collected by the City of Prince George pay for important services including fire rescue, snow removal, policing, parks, road maintenance, and more. This means striking a balance between essential costs and priorities while upholding the service standards our community relies on and expects.

Services such as water, sanitary sewer, and residential garbage collection are billed separately from property taxes. User fees (collected through City utility bills) support the operating costs of these services as well as the replacement of aging related infrastructure.
