Every year an average of 70 to 100 non-profit groups receive direct funding support from the City of Prince George. Grants fund a variety of initiatives in support of community social well-being.

Organizational support
Facilitation
The City facilitates a collaborative process to bring community representatives together in order to build connections, host conversations and plan collective action for shared goals.
Convener
The City convenes Council Committees to seek advice, knowledge and experience from partners and community stakeholders (e.g. Select Committee on Poverty Reduction).
Funding
The City supports community social health & well-being by funding projects and connecting agencies/partners to a wide range of other funding opportunities.
In specific situations, the City will engage a non-profit organization to provide a defined service or services.
The City may also partner with organizations through Board membership and financial assistance. Examples of existing partners include the Prince George Public Library, Tourism PG and the Northern Sports Centre.
