Anticipated opening dates

All listed dates are weather dependent and may change without notice.

  • Jumpstart Multisport Courts – Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
  • Nechako Riverside Park – Gates and outhouse to open Thursday, March 21, 2024.
  • Rainbow Park - Outhouses open Thursday, March 21, 2024.
  • Masich Place Stadium - Open for public walking, bookings, and user groups on April 2, 2024.
  • Carrie Jane Grey Park – Gate to open April 2, 2024.
  • Carrie Jane Grey Park beach volleyball facility - April 2, 2024. Washroom will not be available until mid-April, weather dependent.
  • Connaught Hill Park – Opens mid-April, weather dependent.
  • Duchess Park washroom – Opens mid-April, weather dependent.
  • Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park public washrooms – Opens mid-April, weather dependent. The washroom nearest Exploration Place will remain closed, as it will be renovated this year. There will be portable toilets brought in for the users of the park in Mid-April.
  • Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park spray park – Opens May 17, 2024, weather dependent.
  • Sports Fields will remain closed until the beginning of May, dependent on weather/field conditions.

Note: Drinking fountains will remain closed until the ground fully thaws.

Prince George has an exceptional network of parks including premier parks Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park, Connaught Hill Park and Rainbow Park along with nature parks, athletic parks and neighbourhood parks.  The diversity of parks add beauty to our City and connect us to nature.
