Anticipated opening dates

All listed dates are weather dependent and may change without notice.

  • Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park public washroom at 17th Avenue will be open Saturday, April 20, 2024. The washroom nearest Exploration Place will remain closed, as it will be renovated this year. There will be portable toilets brought in for the users of the park in Mid-April.
  • Duchess Park public washroom will be open Saturday, April 20, 2024.
  • Connaught Hill Park, gate, and outhouse will be open Monday, April 22, 2024.
  • Beach Volleyball Facility is now open with washroom available to the court users.
  • Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park Spray Park is tentatively scheduled to open May 17, 2024, weather dependent.
  • Sports Fields will remain closed until the beginning of May, dependent on weather/field conditions.

Note: Drinking fountains will remain closed until the ground fully thaws.

Prince George has an exceptional network of parks including premier parks Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park, Connaught Hill Park and Rainbow Park along with nature parks, athletic parks and neighbourhood parks.  The diversity of parks add beauty to our City and connect us to nature.
