About the bands:
Checkdown Charlie
Checkdown Charlie pulls heartstrings, not punches. Their melodies make for a good time, while their lyrics paint a picture of community, nature, and connection. It’s not all roses: gritty and uncompromising, Checkdown Charlie invites you to come along and get curious.
The Goomahs
Reminiscent of bands like The Strokes and Timber Timbre, The Goomahs are a local four-piece alternative band pairing garage rock and surf with a jazzy flare.
Britt AM
Britt A.M. is a multi-disciplinary artist based out of Prince George, B.C. on the unceded, traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh. Britt brings a punk rock sense of urgency to her music, holding a melodic, guitar-driven net for her carefully crafted lyrics to land. Accompanied by some of Northern B.C.’s finest musicians, she is a force to be reckoned with onstage and with her band brings a memorable and kinetically-charged performance to every venue they play. Her first full-length, full-band studio album, Psychic Knots (released September 2019), peaked at number 24 on Earshot’s National Top 50 Radio, with follow up GOLD (released November 2021) charting in the Earshot National Top Ten, marking an exciting lead up to their latest EP, IMMOLATION, released in 2023. On the surface what appears to be pop rock, ends up being a display of frenetic musicality that falls in line with the likes of The Breeders or Built to Spill.
