Park Bookings
Park Reservations
Although not required, you can secure a spot for a private event at a popular park by booking it in advance. Please note: we do not monitor events booked in outdoor spaces. Parks are always open and are welcome for public use. You can reserve a park space for private events such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, reunions, or larger community events.

Insurance Requirements
Liability Insurance - with coverage as required by the City is mandatory for events or activities on City of Prince George property for the use of any facilities.
Proof of insurance in the form of a standard insurance certificate must be provided before permission will be given for use of a property or facility. The minimum insurance requirements is $5, 000, 000 Commercial General Liability Insurance, listing the City of Prince George as additionally insured.
Park Commercial rate - $62.00 per hour
- $200.00 for half-day
- $333.00 for full-day
Discounted rate - $31.00 per hour
- $102.00 per half-day
- $167.00 per full-day
- Discounted rates are applicable to youth and adults and are available to not-for-profit groups or registered societies organizing leisure activities that charge no admission and have no intention of making personal financial gain.
- Half-day rates apply when booking a facility for up to and including four (4) hours.
- Daily rates apply when booking a facility for over four (4) hours.
Code of Conduct
- Treat other park users fairly and respectfully. Do not engage in behaviour, actions, or language that is discriminatory, racist, or otherwise demeaning.
- Do not engage in aggressive acts, threats, violence, or profanity.
- Follow City bylaws, policies, and rules and regulations at all times and do not damage, pollute, or engage in behaviour that is otherwise detrimental to the park or sports field.
General Rules and Regulations
- Alcohol, smoking, vaping, or drugs are not allowed anywhere on-site.
- Dogs and other pets are not allowed on sports fields or on playgrounds. Pets are only permitted in certain pet-friendly on-leash and off-leash parks
- Do not litter or dump garbage in City parks.
- Vehicles are not permitted in parks or on sport fields.
- Parking is allowed in adjacent parking lots, but is not permitted in driveways, alleys, or on open green spaces or sidewalks.
- Public disturbances and excessive noise, including vulgar language and honking of car horns, are not allowed. Noise permits must be issued for amplified sound.
- No staking of tents or equipment is permitted in the park.
- Please report any damage or vandalism to 3-1-1.
Food and Beverage
- Alcohol consumption is prohibited in City parks.
- Propane barbecues are permitted. Please do not place barbecues directly on picnic tables or other structures.
- Catered weddings are allowed, but caterers must not solicit or advertise business while on-site and may only serve event guests.
Events that use large speakers to amplify voice or music will need an approved noise permit. Small portable stereos or microphones do not require a permit.

Sport Field Bookings
Sport Field Reservations
Many of our sports fields and courts are available for rental to host events and tournaments. In fact, several past regional, provincial, and national competitions played on our fields.
Please note, however, that we have agreements with various local sports clubs and organizations that rent our sports fields and ball diamonds. If you want to book a property that's currently rented to one of our partners, contact them directly instead of submitting a booking application.

School Bookings
The City of Prince George and School District No. 57 work together to offer school gyms and fields for recreation use through a shared use agreement.

Rate information
- Discounted rates are applicable to youth and adults and are available to not-for-profit groups or registered societies organizing leisure activities that charge no admission and have no intention of making personal financial gain.
- Youth discounted rates apply when all participants are 18 years or younger.
- Adult discounted rates apply to individuals 19 years or older or any combination of individuals 19 years or older and 18 years or younger when part of a not-for-profit group or registered society leisure opportunity.
- Commercial rates apply to organizations that offer programs for a fee with the intention to make personal or organizational gain and/or where admission fees are charged and the community is not the main beneficiary.
- Community Associations are specific volunteer organizations under the City's community development model that deliver low-cost recreation services and programs.
Code of Conduct

General Rules and Regulations
- The on-site custodian will only provide school access to the group leader (or adult supervisor).
- Youth groups must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children will not be allowed to enter a facility without an adult.
- An SD57 custodian will be on-site when facilities are open to community use. Charges may apply.
- Be courteous to the custodian and make note of the following rules:
- SD57 facility doors are locked after school hours and will remain closed and locked.
- The on-site custodian can let users into the facility a few minutes before the booked time. The doors will be locked immediately after the booking time starts.
- Make sure your use permit is on-site and ready to be presented if needed.
- You must wear clean, indoor, non-marking footwear in schools.
- Food and drink are not allowed in gyms.
- You are only allowed to use the space designated in your permit for the allotted time.
- Make sure to leave the facility/school once your booking is over.
- Use of school equipment is not allowed unless arrangements are made beforehand.
- Parking is only allowed in designed SD57 lots.
- Pets are not allowed anywhere on SD57 property.
- No littering or dumping is allowed on SD57 property. Keep the facilities clean.
- Smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drugs are forbidden anywhere on-site.
Offices and Loss of Privileges
The permit holder is responsible for making sure all players, coaches, parents, and other relevant parties understand and abide by the facility code of conduct and rules and regulations.
Violations to the code of conduct and/or rules and regulations will be documented and disciplinary steps will be taken that may result in bookings being cancelled and/or loss of use of the facility.
Arenas and Exhibition Park Bookings
City arenas and Exhibition Park may be booked to host on-ice or off-ice events like hockey games, trade shows, conventions, and more.
The CN Centre is a versatile entertainment venue that also provides event hosting services.
Note: All rentals must have insurance.
