Fire Safety Education

At Prince George Fire Rescue, we take fire and life safety seriously. Statistics have proven that active fire and life safety public education programs significantly reduce residential fire incidents and improve community preparedness.

Our mission is to empower residents with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent fires, respond effectively in emergencies, and make safer choices in their homes, workplaces, and schools. Through interactive programs, school visits, community outreach, and online resources, we strive to build a safer, more fire-resilient community.

Together, we can create a safer community!

School fire safety education programs

Fire safety is a critical life skill, and we believe that teaching children early helps build lifelong awareness and preparedness. At Prince George Fire Rescue, we are committed to providing engaging and interactive school fire safety education programs to ensure that students understand fire risks, know how to respond in an emergency, and develop safe habits at home and school.

Our programs are designed to be age-appropriate, and interactive, helping students connect with real-world fire safety concepts in a way that is both educational and engaging. Through these lessons, students will learn about fire prevention, the importance of smoke alarms, home escape planning, and how their actions can make a difference in keeping themselves and their families safe.

We currently offer three School Fire Safety Education Programs:

Awareness campaigns

Raising awareness about fire safety is key to preventing emergencies and protecting lives. Throughout the year, several important fire safety campaigns take place to educate the public on key fire prevention topics. These campaigns provide valuable resources and information to help individuals and families stay safe.
