Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George will close 1st Avenue at Victoria Street on Wednesday, February 25, for a water service repair between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The closure will impact both eastbound lanes and one westbound lane.
The work involves replacing a water service installed in the 1960s. Nearby properties may experience temporary changes in water pressure or sediment. The water is safe to drink, and residents are advised to run their taps until the water clears if discolored. Properties affected by water shutoffs will be notified in advance.
A detour will be in place for eastbound traffic along River Road or 5th Avenue. Motorists are asked to follow posted signage and use caution near the work area.
