FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Prince George, BC – The City of Prince George is once again partnering with local organization, Job’s Daughters, to recycle natural Christmas trees this holiday season.

On January 7 and 8, 2023 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Prince George residents are encouraged to drop off their natural trees at the CN Centre parking lot near the intersection of 18 Avenue and Ospika Boulevard. Residents are asked to watch for the marked off section and follow the directions of volunteers. The trees must have all tinsel and decorations removed.  At the end of the two-day event, the City’s parks division will chip the trees into mulch and reuse it in local parks in the spring.

There is no cost to drop off a tree. However, donations to the event organizers, Job’s Daughters, are appreciated.
