Prince George, BC – The City of Prince George is reminding residents that, despite the ongoing disruption to mail services due to the Canda Post workers strike, payment of utility bills, parking tickets, and other charges remains the responsibility of residents.
If residents usually mail payments, applications, registrations or other documents to the City, a mail service disruption could delay their arrival and lead to late fees or longer processing times.
This includes the payment of metered utilities bills due on Friday, November 22.
If residents have already mailed a cheque to City Hall, we encourage them to make alternative payment arrangements to ensure the City receives payment on time (and the cheque will then be destroyed upon receipt).
How to Access Your Account Balances:
- Register for MyCity: This online service allows you to view account balances, access copies of your bills, and sign up for eBilling.
- Call us: Contact the City, and we can provide your account balance and email you a copy of your utility bill.
- Visit us at City Hall: Staff at City Hall can assist you by providing a printed copy of your utility bill.
Payment Options Available:
- Online: Payments can be made through your financial institution’s online banking service.
- At Your Bank: Payments can also be made in person or by telephone through your bank.
- In Person at City Hall: Payments are accepted at the City Hall front counter.
Residents are encouraged to use these alternative methods to ensure timely payment during the mail service disruption.
