Prince George, BC - The City of Prince George is continuing to work with Northern Health to ensure its facilities and operations are in compliance with regional Public Health Orders relating to Covid-19.
The following amendments to civic operations have recently been implemented:
- Aquafit will resume November 8. Participants will require proof of vaccination. There are no facility capacity restrictions.
- School bookings will be administered in the same manner as public drop-in swimming.
- Spectators are allowed for swim clubs and swimming lessons and will require proof of vaccination. Spectator seating will remain at half-capacity.
Aquafit Classes at the Prince George Aquatic Centre were cancelled following the October 14 Public Health Orders that impacted most of the Northern Health region including Prince George.
Additional affects on City services included:
- The number of participants allowed to walk on the CN Centre concourse as part of the public walking program has been reduced from 75 to 50.
- User groups making use of civic facilities and arenas are required to have their own Covid-19 safety plan that includes vaccine passport checks. Attendance at the facilities is capped at 50%.
