Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is launching a workforce survey to better understand the experiences, challenges, and needs of local employers and workforce participants. The initiative recognizes that the vibrancy and long‑term prosperity of the community are closely tied to strong labour force participation and the success of local businesses.

The survey seeks input from employers as well as workforce participants, including both employed and unemployed individuals. Topics include workforce experiences, barriers to labour force participation, and the types of programs, services, and supports that could strengthen engagement in the local labour market.

“The last in-depth workforce analysis was updated in 2024, and a lot has changed in Prince George since then,” said economic development manager, Deklan Corstanje, “while we regularly monitor certain indicators, community input will play an important role in shaping future workforce‑related initiatives in Prince George. Findings from the survey will help inform workforce planning, policy development, and potential program opportunities for our division.”

To support this work, the City has retained Deloitte LLP, an economic development and market research consulting firm, to assist with survey implementation and analysis. Deloitte will work closely with the City to review survey results and identify key insights, opportunities, and challenges affecting Prince George’s workforce and employer community.

Those who take part in the survey by April 5, 2026, will be entered into an optional prize draw for a $100 pre-paid Visa gift card.
