Emergency water repair to close Carney Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Prince George, B.C. – Carney Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 2nd Avenue to the River Road/1st Avenue intersection tomorrow, June 30, for an emergency water utility repair. Pedestrians and cyclists will have access along the west side of Carney.

Crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to replace water infrastructure. Southbound traffic coming across the Cameron Street Bridge will be detoured to 1st Avenue. 

The City of Prince George urges residents to use caution around the work zone, obey all signage and personnel, and drive slowly. For daily updates about road and pedestrian network closures, view the traffic disruption map on the City website.
