FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, B.C. – On May 18 just before 11 p.m., Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the 1200 block of 4th Avenue. Crews from three halls arrived to find an exterior electrical room and stairwell to the second floor fully involved in fire.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire and were able to contain it to the exterior of the building. The building was unoccupied at the time, however, several businesses were affected due to electrical damage and smoke in the building.
Damage is estimated at $150,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
