Prince George - October 13 is the last day to submit a request for a mail ballot - and to receive the ballot on the same day - for the 2022 General Local Election. Unlike during the 2018 election cycle, this year all eligible voters may vote-by-mail.

To receive a mail ballot package, an eligible elector must first complete a form to Request to Vote by Mail Ballot. Requests must be received no later than 4:30pm, October 13.

  • Pick up a form in person:
    • At City Hall - 1100 Patricia Boulevard (1st Floor Service Centre or 5th Floor Legislative Services Division).
    • At the Prince George Public Library (Bob Harkins downtown branch or Nechako branch).
  • Fill in the form and return it to City Hall for processing before the October 13, 4:30pm deadline.

Submitting your mail ballot

For your vote to count, the Chief Election Officer must receive your mail ballot no later than 8:00pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022. If you choose to vote by mail it is your responsibility to ensure your ballot is received by the stated date and time. Mail ballot packages received after the close of voting on general voting day (October 15) will not be counted. Postmarks will not be considered valid for the return of completed ballots.

Mail ballots can also be returned to City Hall in person before the voting deadline or deposited in the drop boxes outside City Hall's doors by 8:00pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
