Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George invites residents to celebrate the new season and show their community pride by taking part in the annual Spring Clean Up event on Sunday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The city-wide event is open to individuals and teams who are looking to give back and pick up litter in parks, school yards, and along streets and trails. Registration is open now until April 22 on the City website. Participants are encouraged to sign up early to claim their clean-up route.

Registered participants will receive garbage bags, and a limited number of sharps containers will be available by request. Gear will be available for pick up at City Hall from April 13 to 24 during regular business hours. Seven dumpsters will be located throughout the community for collected garbage and can be found on the event map. Last year, residents helped to pick up 5,830 kilograms of litter!
