Following the disappointment of not being able to welcome the world’s best women curlers in 2020 because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Prince George is getting a second chance and has officially been announced as the host city for the 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship.
The announcement was made today during a zoom call featuring World Curling Federation President Kate Caithness, Curling Canada CEO Kathryn Henderson, and Acting Mayor Frank Everitt. The 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship will be held at CN Centre from March 19-27 and tickets will go on sale soon. A call for volunteers will be issued in the fall; in the meantime, those interested in volunteering can sign up to receive updates via email.
