FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRINCE GEORGE – The search is over! The City of Prince George is excited to unveil the 2023 Pups of Prince George charity calendar on December 1, 2022.
Earlier this fall, the City partnered with the North Cariboo branch of the BC SPCA on a photo contest to seek out the twelve top dogs in Prince George. Submissions went before a judging panel, who narrowed down more than 300 entries. The winning photos were selected based on creativity, overall photo quality, and proof of a dog licence. The calendars will be sold at various locations throughout the city, with the proceeds benefitting the SPCA’s spay and neuter program. The program provides support to pet owners who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford to spay or neuter their pets.
“The North Cariboo BC SPCA is thrilled to be the recipient for this initiative. The funds raised will be an amazing benefit to the community and the animals we help in Prince George,” said Kristen Sumner, manager of the North Cariboo SPCA. “The photos were amazing to review, there were lots of rescue alumni! Our team loved the variety of dogs in Prince George that they were able to vote on… the decisions were difficult to make!”
