Once the match is over, watch cultural celebrations provided by the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society and stick around for the City’s first-ever drone show around 10 p.m.

Movie in the Park

The second annual Movie in the Park is back on Friday, September 11. The movie starts around 7:30 p.m. or at dusk where you can enjoy some great entertainment with your friends and family in a natural outdoor movie theatre under the stars. Attendance is free, just bring a lawn chair, blanket, and snacks! The location and movie will be announced later this summer.

Kids in Parks Passport

The Kids in PG Parks Passport is back for another year and encourages families to step outside and explore. Until July 31, kids are encouraged to visit the various parks listed in the passport and answer questions about each one. The first 50 kids to return a completed passport will receive one free child admission to the Canfor Leisure Pool. All completed passports will be entered into a draw to win prizes from British Columbia Northern Exhibition, Koops Bike Shop, the Exploration Place, OVERhang, Prince George Family Y, Strike Zone, Engage Sport North, and UNBC Athletics.

These events are in addition to the many great community-led activities happening throughout the city this summer. Get more information by visiting the City events calendar.
