UPDATE September 8 

The RCMP have issued a statement about an arrest for arson being made in relation to this fire. 

Prince George Fire Rescue will be supporting their investigation as well as the insurance investigation.

Estimated building damage from the fire is $1.8 million.

Fire Chief Bryan Burleigh has commended the actions of all crew members who were on scene on Friday and over the weekend.

UPDATE 1:00 P.M. September 5

The fire has now been contained and crews remain on site. George Street and some of the streets surrounding the scene remain closed to traffic and pedestrians. There are no injuries to fire personnel or civilians. 

ORIGINAL RELEASE

Prince George BC - On Friday September 5, 2025, at approximately 2:49 am, Prince George Fire Rescue Crews from four halls responded to a commercial structure fire at Crossroads Brewery located 508 George Street. 

First arriving crews found heavy smoke and flames exiting the roof of the structure. Crews are still on scene fighting the blaze. 

The fire cause is undetermined, a dollar loss estimate will be issued later.
