UPDATE: Server outage impacting City sites

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Update, 3:30 p.m.– The server issue is now resolved at all sites. A power failure in one of the City's two data centres led to the outage. 

The City's IT division has several capital projects underway to help prevent future outages, including annual maintenance, upgrades, and new technology. 


ORIGINAL RELEASE, 2:15 P.M.

Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is currently experiencing a server outage at all City sites including City Hall and the 18th Avenue Yard. The server issue is impacting phone calls, emails, and all network related applications.

Calls and emails to the Service Centre (311 or 311@princegeorge.ca) are currently not being received. Service requests can still be logged via the City website or City of PG mobile app but won’t be received and reviewed until after the outage is fixed. 

Staff are working hard to resolve the issue and will provide more information as soon as it's available.
