FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prince George, B.C. – A watermain break on 1st Avenue, between Lower Patricia Boulevard and Kingston Street, is requiring emergency repairs today, tomorrow and possibly into Friday. Crews are currently on site to fix the break, after which the road will need to be repaired and repaved.
Nearby businesses are affected due to water outages during the repairs. Additionally, traffic on Highway 16 east is reduced to alternating two-lane flow in the westbound lane.
The City advises drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area if possible. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
