Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED, formerly Industry Canada) requires that local land use authorities are consulted and facilitate the implementation of local communication services. As such, the City's Planning and Development Department must facilitate Council concurrence of all newly proposed or modified radio and telecommunication towers within the City. To initiate this process, the applicant must submit an application including their draft public notification package.
