Resident Electors:

are 18 years of age or older when registering to vote or will be 18 years of age or older on General Voting Day (October 17, 2026);
are a Canadian Citizen;
have been a resident of British Columbia for at least six (6) months before registering to vote;
live in the city of Prince George at the time of registering to vote;
are not disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment or law from voting in a local election.

Non-Resident Property Electors:

are 18 years of age or older when registering to vote or will be 18 years of age or older on General Voting Day (October 17, 2026);
are a Canadian Citizen;
have been a resident of British Columbia for at least six (6) months before registering to vote;
are not disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment of law from voting in a local election;

Requests for mail ballot voting must be completed and submitted by 4:30 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026.
Mail ballot packages must be picked up from Legislative Services Division, 5th Floor, City Hall by 4:30 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026.
Mail ballot packages will only be issued for fully completed request forms. Please ensure all information is complete and accurate.
Mail ballot packages will be available the week of September 21, 2026, pending receipt of the ballots from the provider.
Any mail ballot request received after Thursday, October 1, 2026 will require the mail ballot package to be picked up at the Legislative Services Division, 5th Floor, City Hall.
If a third party will pick up your mail ballot package, they must provide identification that matches the name provided on the request form and make a solemn declaration at the time of pick-up.
It is your responsibility to ensure you are eligible to vote as a resident elector or a non-resident property elector. If you are unsure, please contact election@princegeorge.ca for more information.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your completed ballot is returned to the Chief Election Officer before 8:00 p.m. on General Voting Day, Saturday, October 17, 2026.
By requesting to vote by mail ballot, you confirm that you will not vote in any other way in this election.
