The City is hosting a free candidate information session on August 27 at 6 p.m. for individuals interested in running for Council in the 2026 general local election. The election takes place October 17, 2026.
The session will cover candidate eligibility, completing and filing nomination documents, the nomination deposit, key election deadlines, public inspection and privacy requirements, election signage, and what candidates can expect after filing their nomination.
