The City of Prince George is seeking applications for a grant that helps creative residents and organizations initiate or sustain great ideas, events, and projects. The myPG Community Grant assists non-profit groups and other community organizations to develop and implement innovative activities, projects, and events that contribute to making Prince George a great community. The application deadline for this grant is March 15, 2021.

Note: for the Spring 2021 myPG Community Grant intake, organizations and individuals are encouraged to propose innovative approaches to program and service delivery that reflect the current COVID-19 operating environment. In particular, the adjudication committee will be considering the degree to which applicants are responding to emerging service needs, and/or adapting the delivery of an existing program to ensure compliance with public health orders.

Eligible initiatives can be large or small (grants typically range from $2500 to $8000, but can be as small as $900), and activities/projects should be accessible to residents of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and income levels. Applications will be evaluated based on alignment with the following criteria:

  • Increasing community pride
  • Encouraging a safe community
  • Providing social connections for citizens
  • Encouraging physical activity
  • Providing opportunities for involvement in arts and culture
  • Ensuring equity and inclusion
