Over the next couple weeks, you may experience foot traffic disruptions along the UNBC Connector Trail that passes through Ginter's Meadow. Crews from the City of Prince George will be remediating soil erosion upstream and near the pond in Ginter's Meadow for the next 5-10 days.
While the trail and parking lot at Ginter's Meadow will remain open, please be advised that pedestrians may experience temporary traffic disruptions since motorized vehicles and equipment may utilize a temporary access route to perform remediation work. Crews will repair the inlet structure, replace a broken gabion basket upstream, and remove eroded sediment from the pond at Ginter's Meadow.
Please follow the directions of on-site flag persons who will safely direct/detour pedestrian and vehicular traffic while construction occurs. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next week, depending on weather conditions and equipment availability.
