BC Fairs Festivals and Events Fund Grants to City of Prince George
- Council approved an agreement between the City and the BC Fairs and Festivals and Events Fund to allow the City to accept $69,400 in grant money.
- The amount will offset City expenses related to the Cariboo Rocks the North 2023 concert scheduled for August 11 to August 13 at Exhibition Park.
- The City will acknowledge receiving provincial financial support on all materials and social media related to the festival.
Northwest Invasive Plant Council – Funding Request
- Council approved $18,300 in funding for the Northwest Invasive Plant Council for 2023 through Council Contingency. Administration will include the expense in its operating budget for 2024 onwards with the tax levy as the funding source.
Modification to Section 219 restrictive covenant registered as Land Title Office Document No. CA9074075 to allow for Development Permit Application No. DP100832
- Council delayed making a decision on the application to modify the Section 219 restrictive covenant attached to the property at 4500 Ospika Boulevard to enable a seniors housing complex instead of the required student housing.
- Council is seeking more information regarding a feasibility report on the viability of seniors housing at that location.
- Council postponed the matter until the next meeting.
2023 Q1 Consultant Spending, Delegated Authority, and Procurement reports
- To continue to be transparent on financial matters, Council received reports from Administration on 2023 first quarter consultant spending, delegated authority, and procurements.
Official Community Plan Amendment No. CP100179 (Bylaw No. 9334) and Rezoning Application No. RZ100745 (Bylaw No. 9335)
- Council approved third readings for amendments to the City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 9334 and the City of Prince George Rezoning Bylaw No. 9335.
- Should these bylaw amendments pass, they will allow the developer to build single-family and row housing at 4443 and 4505 Ospika Boulevard.
