Your City, Your Priorities 2024

The City of Prince George is preparing for the 2024 budget. You will have several opportunities to engage with City staff to tell us how satisfied you are with current services, how much the City should spend or save in the 2024 budget, and to have your questions answered virtually and in person.

Check-up surveys

How satisfied you are with some of the City's most popular services? Each quick check-up survey will take you approximately five minutes. The results will stay anonymous. Take one or take them all – let us know which services are most important to you!

Later in the fall, we will share the cost of City services and talk more about what you’d like the City to spend or save on in the 2024 budget. Check-up surveys are open from now until September 29.

Budget consultation

The 2024 budget survey will be made available in October. It provides participants the opportunity to enter their property assessment value to see the impact that certain budget changes would have on their property taxes.

The results of the 2023 budget survey and the five check-up Surveys are available on our website. The Finance and Audit Committee considered these survey results when making 2023 budget recommendations to City Council.

Townhall meetings

Visit us in person on the evenings of October 24, 25, or 26 to have your questions answered by City staff.  Three separate meetings will be held in the community: one in College Heights, one in the Hart, and one at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre. The presentation portion of the event will be livestreamed for those who can’t attend in person.

More information about location and times will be made available soon.
