UPDATE: Ferguson Lake Road closed immediately due to damage

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UPDATE 4PM MAY 10TH: A temporary bridge around the damaged area will be brought into place over the weekend to allow for single lane traffic to use Ferguson Lake Road. This will be for local residents and emergency vehicle access only. The general public are advised to continue to stay clear of the area.

Roads staff are attempting to make contact with all impacted residents.

The City will continue to provide updates as necessary.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

Prince George, BC - Flooding has caused a section of Ferguson Lake Road in the Hart area between Edward Road and the Ferguson Lake Nature Reserve to be washed out. The road will need to be closed to vehicles and pedestrians immediately.

The City’s roads department are looking at all temporary fix solutions but, in the meantime, please stay clear of the area. Updates will be provided.
