FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Prince George B.C - At approximately 01:40 a.m. on March 4, 2025, Prince George Fire Rescue Service crews from three firehalls responded to a reported structure fire in the 1000 block of Parsnip Crescent. 

First-arriving crews found heavy smoke and flame coming from the roof and eaves of the residential structure on all four sides. 

Crews acted quickly to confine the fire to its area of origin and stop the spread of fire to neighboring structures. 

All occupants of the home made it out safely and there were no reported injuries to any firefighters or members of the public. 

Fire crews remained on scene for several hours to suppress the fire and assist all members of the public affected by the fire. 

The cause of this fire is not yet known and remains under investigation. The damage is estimated at $450,000.
